►FOUNDER AND PRINCIPAL...

Joe Kapushion is an award-winning mechanical design engineer and industrial designer with over 20 years of product design experience. He has designed and engineered more than 100 products, many of which remain on store shelves today with more to follow. In all, he has helped dozens of companies grow their product lines enabling them to firmly compete in their markets. These companies are large national brand names as well as smaller specialized companies.

With a passion for both the art and technology of product design, Joe has become an innovator in the industry. He has been awarded eight U.S. patents, two European patents and has received multiple industry awards in product design.

He began in 1987 with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and spent his first 11 years in OEM environments as a mechanical engineer where he designed a diverse array of products and gained valuable insight and experience.

Today, by combining his experience in engineering, industrial design and design management, Joe now directs his own small design firm where he employs himself and a pool of other talented design professionals, all with the goal of creating great products for great companies.

On-site or off-site. The office and studio of KDD is located in Lafayette, Colorado. We border the cities of Denver and Boulder at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Services are provided from this site without need for your equipment or space, saving you the expense. However, when closer communication is needed, work can be arranged to be done at your location.
